A business built to last – from the very first logo
Mason’s Property launched as a residential lettings agency with a clear ambition: to build a trusted, personal brand in a crowded Hertfordshire and Bedfordshire market. Luke Mason came to us at the very beginning – before a single property had been listed – and we have worked with him ever since.
Over more than seven years, our relationship has grown alongside the business itself. What started as a lettings-only agency covering the two-county patch has flourished into a full estate agency, handling both lettings and residential sales. At every stage – new services, new features, and new ambitions – we have been the design and development partner behind it.
The brief was always about more than a website. It was about building something credible and distinctive from day one, and then making sure it kept pace with where the business was headed.
An identity built on trust and clarity
Property is a business built on trust. For a new agency with no track record yet, the brand has to do a significant amount of work — it needs to look established, professional, and approachable all at once.
We began by working through the business positioning with Luke: who the agency was for, what set it apart from the established local names, and how it wanted to be known as it grew. That thinking shaped every design decision that followed.
The logo and visual identity were crafted to feel clean and considered — modern enough to stand out from older, more traditional estate agency branding, without feeling cold or corporate. The colour palette was chosen for its clarity on property portals, print materials, and signage alike.
From the outset, we built the identity as a system rather than a single asset. That meant every touchpoint — from the website to business cards to email signatures — worked together as a coherent whole.
- Logo design and brand mark
- Colour palette and typography system
- Brand guidelines document
- Print-ready stationery: business cards, letterhead and compliment slips
- Email signature and social media brand assets
Designed for the people searching for a home
Property websites serve a clear primary purpose: to help people find and enquire about properties as quickly and simply as possible. Everything else – the brand, the photography, the copy – supports that journey.
We designed the Mason’s Property website with that principle at the centre. Clear navigation, well-structured property listings, and intuitive search and filter tools mean that a potential tenant or buyer can find what they are looking for without friction – whether they are searching in a Hertfordshire village or a Bedfordshire town.
The design also needed to reflect the brand’s positioning – professional and trustworthy, but warmer and more personal than the corporate feel of many larger agency chains. That balance runs through every page: clean layouts, generous use of photography, and considered typography that feels approachable without losing authority.
As the business expanded from lettings into sales, the site was developed to accommodate both service lines clearly – so visitors searching anywhere across the agency’s Hertfordshire and Bedfordshire patch always know exactly where they are and what to do next.
Web development
Live property data, straight from the CRM
The technical heart of the Mason’s Property website is the integration between their CRM system and the WordPress site. Rather than manually updating listings, every property is managed through the agency’s CRM and fed to the website automatically via an XML feed.
We built this integration using Property Hive – a purpose-built WordPress plugin for estate agents – which handles the ingestion of the XML feed, maps property data to the site’s listing format, and keeps everything in sync as properties are added, updated, and marked as let or sold.
The same feed also powers the agency’s Rightmove portal listings. Properties added to the CRM flow through to the website and out to Rightmove without any duplication of effort from the Mason’s team. It is a single point of entry that keeps everything consistent and saves significant administrative time.
The WordPress build uses Advanced Custom Fields throughout, giving the Mason’s team full control over content that sits outside the property feed – service pages, team profiles, local area guides, and the homepage – without requiring developer support for routine updates.
The site is built to handle the full property lifecycle: available, let agreed, let, sold subject to contract, and sold. Filtering, search, and property detail pages all reflect live data, so what prospective tenants and buyers see online matches exactly what the agency holds in their system.
- WordPress development with ACF block builder
- Property Hive plugin – CRM to website via XML feed
- Rightmove portal publishing from the same feed
- Advanced property search and filter
- Full property lifecycle status management
- Mobile-first responsive build
- Technical SEO and local schema markup

Support and hosting
A long-term partnership, not a one-off project
From our Hertfordshire studio, we have hosted, maintained, and developed the Mason’s Property website since launch. That means plugin and platform updates are handled proactively, the site is monitored for performance and security, and Luke has a direct line to us when something needs changing or when a new idea needs building.
Over seven years, that support relationship has evolved into something more like a retained design and development partner. As the business has grown and changed – adding sales to its lettings offering, refining how it presents itself to landlords and vendors – we have been involved in shaping those decisions from a design and technical perspective.
It is the kind of relationship we value most: one built on trust, continuity, and a genuine understanding of where a business has come from and where it is going.
- Managed WordPress hosting
- Regular plugin and platform updates
- Performance monitoring and security management
- Feature development as the business grows
- Direct access to the team – no support tickets, no delays
